Setting Up Your Payment Method

Link your bank account or debit card to receive payments.

To get paid for your work on KOVR, you need to securely link a bank account or a valid debit card. We use Stripe, the industry standard for secure payments, to handle all financial data.

How to Add a Payment Method

  1. Open the KOVR app and go to your Profile.
  2. Tap on Wallet & Earnings.
  3. Select Payment Methods.
  4. Tap Add Bank Account or Add Debit Card.

Bank Account vs. Debit Card

The method you choose depends on how quickly you want your money:

  • Debit Card (Recommended): Enabling a debit card allows for Instant Pay. You can receive your earnings within minutes of shift approval for a small fee.
  • Bank Account (ACH): This is used for standard transfers. These are free but typically take 2-3 business days to arrive in your account.
Security Note: KOVR never stores your full bank account or card numbers on our servers. All sensitive data is encrypted and handled entirely by Stripe.

Requirements for Setup

To successfully link your account, you will need:

  • Your legal name (matching your ID).
  • Your Social Security Number (SSN) or EIN (required by law for tax reporting).
  • Your home address.
  • Routing and account numbers (for bank accounts).

Verification Process

In some cases, Stripe may ask for additional verification, such as a photo of your ID or a voided check. These requests appear directly in the app. Your account will remain "Pending" until these requirements are met.

Updating Your Info

If you change banks or get a new debit card, simply return to the **Payment Methods** screen, remove the old one, and add the new one. Ensure you do this before your next shift to avoid payment delays.
