1. Respect and Inclusion
KOVR is a community of diverse backgrounds. We have zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or hate speech based on:
- Race or ethnicity
- Gender or gender identity
- Sexual orientation
- Religion or disability
- Age or veteran status
2. Reliability and Commitment
The platform only works if people show up.
- Workers: Only apply for shifts you can work. If you must cancel, do so as early as possible.
- Employers: Avoid last-minute cancellations. Provide accurate shift descriptions and requirements.
Note: Habitual no-shows or late cancellations will result in permanent account deactivation.
3. Safety First
- Never engage in violent or threatening behavior.
- Do not bring unauthorized weapons or illegal substances to a shift.
- Follow all local health and safety regulations.
4. Professionalism
- Honesty: Never misrepresent your skills, experience, or identity.
- Dress Code: Always arrive in the clothing specified by the employer.
- Communication: Keep all shift-related communication within the KOVR app. This protects you in case of a dispute.
5. Platform Integrity
- No Off-Platform Payments: For your protection (insurance, tax reporting, and guaranteed pay), all payments must go through KOVR. Taking payments outside the app will result in immediate removal.
- Privacy: Do not share personal data of other users outside of what is necessary for the shift.
Enforcement
We investigate every report of a guideline violation. Possible actions include:
- A formal warning.
- A temporary suspension from applying for or posting shifts.
- Permanent account deactivation.
