One of KOVR's most powerful features is the ability to build a roster of preferred workers. Once you find workers you trust, you can invite them directly to future shifts—skipping the application process entirely.
What is the Worker Roster?
Your worker roster is a curated list of workers who have proven themselves reliable and skilled. Think of it as your go-to team that you can call on whenever you need extra hands.
Benefits of Building a Roster
- Faster hiring – Skip the application review process
- Consistent quality – Work with people you already know and trust
- Priority invites – Your roster gets first look at new shifts
- Reduced no-shows – Rostered workers have commitment incentives
- Better relationships – Build ongoing working relationships
Adding Workers to Your Roster
After a Shift
The easiest way to add workers is after they've completed a shift. If they did great work, you'll see an option to Add to Roster when reviewing their timesheet.
From Worker Profiles
You can also add workers from their profile page. Search for workers by name, view their ratings and history, and tap Add to Roster.
Bulk Import
If you have existing workers you'd like to add, you can invite them via email. Go to Roster → Invite Workers and enter their email addresses. They'll receive an invitation to join your roster on KOVR.
Managing Your Roster
Viewing Your Roster
Access your roster from the Workers tab in your dashboard. Here you can see all rostered workers, their ratings, and their recent activity.
Worker Categories
Organize workers into categories for easier management:
- By Role – Servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, etc.
- By Location – Workers for specific venues
- By Rating – Your top performers
Removing Workers
If a worker's performance changes or they're no longer available, you can remove them from your roster at any time. This doesn't affect their KOVR account—they simply won't receive direct invites from you anymore.
Note: Workers can also leave your roster at any time. Maintaining good working relationships helps keep your best workers engaged.
Inviting Roster Workers to Shifts
Direct Invites
When posting a new job, you can:
- Select Invite from Roster
- Choose specific workers or categories to invite
- Workers receive priority notifications and can accept immediately
Roster-Only Shifts
You can make shifts exclusive to your roster. Only rostered workers will see the listing—it won't appear in public search results.
Mixed Invites
Post a job publicly while also sending direct invites to roster workers. Roster invites are processed first, and any remaining slots go to public applicants.
Roster Worker Benefits
Workers on your roster enjoy perks that encourage loyalty:
- Early access to your shifts
- Priority approval over other applicants
- Streamlined clock-in process
- History and familiarity with your venues
