Before You Delete
Account deletion is permanent. Please ensure:
- All earnings are withdrawn: Transfer any remaining funds from your KOVR Wallet to your bank account. We cannot process transfers for deleted accounts.
- No active shifts: You must cancel any upcoming shifts or wait until they are completed and paid before deleting.
- Download your data: If you need your shift history or tax documents, download them before proceeding.
Warning: Deleting your account will result in the loss of all ratings, reviews, and progress. You will not be able to recover this information if you create a new account later.
How to Delete Your Account
- Go to Profile > Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your identity.
- Provide an optional reason for leaving (your feedback helps us).
- Confirm the final deletion.
What Happens to Your Data?
Once you confirm deletion, your account is immediately deactivated. Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy:
- Public Profile: Removed from the marketplace immediately.
- Internal Records: We retain certain financial and tax records for the legally required period (usually 7 years).
- Messages: Your sent messages remain visible to the recipients but will show as being from a "Deleted User."
Alternative: Deactivating
If you just need a break, you can "Pause" your account instead. This hides your profile from employers but keeps your data and ratings safe for when you're ready to return.
